Job summary

Baptist Health in Downtown Jacksonville is seeking a Mental Health Technician for the Behavioral Health Unit at Baptist Medical Center. This is a Full Time Nights opportunity, 7:00pm-7:00am.

You will provide patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse, document observations, and assist with patient education groups, milieu supervision, and admissions/discharges. CPI Certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (required).
• CPI Certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Nursing Assistant or Corpsman experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care considering safety, comfort and therapeutic environment under RN supervision.
• Documents observations and communicates patient condition appropriately.
• Assists with patient education groups, milieu supervision, admissions and discharges as assigned.
