Job summary

As an essential part of the care team, you'll provide direct patient support, help maintain a therapeutic environment and play a key role in the healing process for individuals facing mental health challenges.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or mental health training preferred.
• Prior experience in behavioral health, residential care, or related field is a plus.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and work effectively with a diverse population.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, team-focused inpatient environment.
• CPR and MOAB certification preferred or willing to obtain.

Experience

Required – none

Preferred – 2 years working experience and 3 months in a healthcare setting desired (Education in mental health related field may be substituted for experience)

Required – none

Preferred – High School Diploma or GED; and Certificate of attendance at an approved nursing assistant/psychiatric technician program or advanced preparation in nursing, sociology and/or psychology with a minimum of a bachelor's degree

Certifications & Licensure

Required – BLS and MOAB

Preferred – Certified Nursing Assistant Certification, Basic EMT Certification, Military Medic experience, or Nursing Student with completion of fundamental nursing clinical in RN program desired
