Universal Health Services, Inc. ( Copper Hills Youth Center ) in West Jordan, UT seeks a Behavioral Health Technician to model positive behavior and supervise adolescents. You will document behaviors, support daily goals, and assist in therapy meetings.

You will intervene during crises with verbal de-escalation and safety techniques, helping maintain a therapeutic environment while supporting youth toward positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 18 years old.
• Excellent Verbal Communication Skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and in high-stress environments.
• Effective problem solving skills.
• Ability to manage conflicts.
• Excellent attendance record.
• Pass a thorough background check.

Responsibilities

Copper Hills Youth Center is a 24/7 secure residential treatment center (behavioral health) for male and female adolescents aged 12 through 17. We counsel, teach and mentor students who have psychiatric disorders. Our goal is to provide treatment that results in positive changes, allowing these youth to return to their families and communities.

Job Description

Behavioral Health Technicians serve as a positive role model for youth while providing close supervision and documenting behaviors. Must be a team player and recognize the importance of this position to positive student outcomes. Will ensure that students are meeting defined daily goals, including hygiene, unit activities, education & therapy meetings, etc. Will intervene during student crisis as necessary by using verbalde-escalation skills and other personal safety techniques. Facilitation of group interactions and ensuring students are behaving according tostandards.By using positiveverbal skills,educate studentson appropriate behavior and possible consequences, and enact consequences if needed.

New Hire Sign On Bonus of $1,500.

Range: up to $23.00 (Including differentials, depending on education/experiene/certifications/etc.)

Shift is for: Swing A - Sunday through Thursday 1430 to 2230
