Job summary

Roxbury Treatment Center, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc., is seeking Mental Health Technicians to support acute psychiatric and detox services in Shippensburg, PA. You will work as part of the treatment team under a Registered Nurse, providing continuous patient care across ages.

The role features 12-hour shifts, every other weekend rotation, and a $1000 sign-on bonus for full-time staff. A strong commitment to de-escalation and patient safety is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a psychology-related field is highly preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver's License with safe driving record

Responsibilities

• Monitors unit milieu and helps to maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients
• Leads activity groups for patients according to the program schedule
• Conducts patient observation rounds throughout the shift to ensure safety
• Works collaboratively with unit nursing staff on patient care activities
• Responds to patient crisis events accordingly using de-escalation techniques.

Our psych units work 12-hour shifts available - 6:30am-7:00pm or 6:30pm - 7:00am.

Our chemical dependency unit shift available 8-hour shifts- 6:30am-3:00pm pr 2:30pm-11pm

The Mental Health Technician functions as an active part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction and role modeling to patients ranging in ages from adolescent through geriatrics. All MHT’s work under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
