Universal Health Services’ Austin Oaks Hospital in South Austin, TX, seeks a Mental Health Technician for the evening shift (3p-11p) to provide direct patient care under the supervision of the charge nurse.

The role supports a safe, therapeutic milieu, crisis intervention, and activities of daily living, with potential reassignment to units serving varied populations including male adults and those who are dually diagnosed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• One year prior psychiatric experience preferred.
• CPR Certification. Human behavior preferred including therapeutic relationships & processes, age specific growth & development, limit setting, crisis & behavior management.
