This unit is located at Jefferson Einstein Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.

Schedule Commitment

Schedules are available 6 weeks in advance. The work schedule requires the ability to:

• Work the required shift
• Work two (2) twelve (12) hour shifts weekly
• Work every third weekend
• Commit to 1 holiday per season

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Nurse Manager, Mental Health/Behavioral Health Techs will:

• Assist the RN in delivering care and observing patient behaviors
• Report and document changes in patient mood or behavior promptly
• Provide one-on-one sessions with assigned patients as needed

Maintain a full patient caseload with an assigned primary nurse in an inpatient setting, providing effective and compassionate care.

Qualifications

To qualify, candidates must have:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least 12 college credits; a full college degree is preferred
• BS or BA in behavioral health preferred
• One-year experience with behavioral health clients preferred
• BLS certification through AHA
• Training in PEAT and ability to safely schedule and restrain aggressive patients
