Northwest Center for Behavioral Health in Woodward, Oklahoma, is recruiting compassionate Mental Health Technicians to provide non-professional care in an inpatient setting with emphasis on de-escalation, safety, and activities of daily living.

The MHT I/II/III levels offer a tiered pay scale ($29,328.20 / $14.10 hr to $34,517.00 / $16.59 hr) and a full-time night shift (8:30 pm - 7:00 am) with a comprehensive state benefits package.

Qualifications

• MHT I: No experience or education is required.
• MHT II: One year of patient care experience.
• MHT III: Two years of patient care experience.
• Preference may be given to CNA certified applicants

Responsibilities

• Provide non-professional direct or indirect care for consumers in an inpatient setting.

Mental Health Technician - Lighthouse - Woodward

Northwest Center for Behavioral Health is recruiting for compassionate, dedicated individuals! Help us make a difference in the lives of all Oklahomans. About the Position: Our Mental Health Technician (MHT) under close supervision, provides non-professional direct or indirect care for consumers of behavioral health treatment in an inpatient care setting. This includes participation in de-escalation activities and assuring that consumers are kept safe along with activities of daily living. This position works as a role model for consumers, demonstrating effective problem solving and decision‑making skills and will assist in providing recreational and therapeutic activities for the consumer. • Full-time Evenings - Overnight 8:30 pm - 07:00 am
• MHT I $29,328.20/$14.10 hour
• MHT II $31,799.00/$15.29 hour
• MHT III $34,517.00/ $16.59 hour
• Shift differentials can boost your hourly pay rate, and you can stack them! Working a weekend night would earn you an extra $2.18/ hour!
  • Extra $.50/hour for working evenings and nights - Extra pay for overnight hours!
  • Extra $.75/hour for working weekends and holidays
  • Extra $1/hour for working on an inpatient or crisis unit
• Full Compensation Range of $39,327.00 - $57,537.00. Compensation range to include base salary, retirement and benefits allowance - dependent on the number of covered dependents!
• Primary Working Hours are NOC SHIFT 8:30 pm - 07:00 am
• FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Special Requirements

• Applicant must be able to pass an OSBI background.
• Applicant must be willing and able to fulfill any job‑related travel normally associated with this position and as such have a valid driver’s license.
• Upon a conditional offer of employment, applicants for safety sensitive positions shall be required to submit to urinalysis to test for drugs. Appointment to a safety sensitive position shall be contingent upon a negative drug test result.
• (if Required) Applicants must submit to a physical examination and shall meet the physical examination requirements of occasionally lifting/carrying 50 pounds and be able to pull a maximum force of 25 pounds.
