Job summary

Social Care and Education is seeking an experienced Adult Mental Health Support Worker to join our supported living service on a permanent, full-time basis. You will support adults with mental health needs to live as independently as possible, while promoting dignity, choice, wellbeing and safety.

You should be confident working in a supported living environment, provide person-centred care, and handle complex or challenging behaviours with a calm and professional approach.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required.

• Available to work 40 hours per week, including shifts.

We are looking for someone who is confident working within a supported living environment and can provide person-centred support to individuals who may present with complex or challenging behaviours.

• Hold a full UK driving licence and be confident driving as part of the role
• Have current PMVA (Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression) or CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) training
• Have previous experience supporting adults with mental health needs
• Be looking for permanent, full-time employment
• Be available to work 40 hours per week, including shifts as required
• Have good communication and interpersonal skills
• Be able to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
• Understand safeguarding, confidentiality, professional boundaries and person-centred care
