Job summary

Gardner Health Services in San Jose, CA, is seeking a Mental Health Specialist to join the School Linked Services program within the Family and Children Division. You will provide psychosocial assessments and services to children aged 6–21 and their families, in a 40-hour week, full-time role based at the corporate offices.

Under supervision, you will work on a multidisciplinary team delivering individual and group counseling, case management, family support, home-based and crisis services

Qualifications

• MHS - Bachelors Degree plus three years of relevant experience.
• Bilingual/Bicultural preferred.

Responsibilities

Gardner Health Services is currently recruiting the following position. This is a full-time, 40 hour/week position in the School-Based Outpatient Services Program in the Family and Children Division of Gardner's Behavioral Health Department. These positions are based out of the Corporate Offices located at 160 E Virginia St, San Jose, CA 95112. Under general supervision of the Program Supervisor, the Mental Health Specialist provides assessments and related psycho social services to children 6-21 and their families. This position will be part of a multi-disciplinary team and performs the duties outlined in the attached job flyer. The School Linked Services program is geared to school-aged children within the San Jose Unified School District System. Services include individual and group counseling, case management, family support, home based support and crisis support.

• Mental Health Specialist (MHS)- Full-time, 40 hours/week (1.0 FTE)

Minimum Qualifications:

The minimum qualifications of this position is listed below. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

• MHS - Bachelors Degree plus three years of relevant experience.

Compensation:

Compensation and level of position placement will be determined based on relevant experience and education. Salaries are prorated based on level of FTE.

MHS: $69,539.18 - $71,625.35/Annually
