Job summary

Victor Community Support Services in California is seeking a Mental Health Specialist to provide support services to individuals and families under supervision.

You will engage clients, perform case management, coordinate referrals, document outcomes, and participate in treatment teams. Must have a Bachelor's in a behavioral science; two years' experience preferred; valid CA driver’s license; ability to travel locally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a behavioral science (Psychology, Sociology, Social Work).
• Two years experience working with children, youth and/or families preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides individual and family support services according to individualized plans; includes referrals, advocacy, linkage and case management, support groups, educational services, transportation, home management, recreational activities, and behavioral interventions.
• Engages clients with appropriate boundaries, develops rapport, and supports flexible community-based schedules.
• Completes all required documentation within set time constraints and participates as an active member of the treatment team.
• Meets agency service percentage standards for time spent with clients where applicable.
