Job summary

Telecare seeks a Director of Social Services - Mental Health to lead the Social Services Department and supervise a team of social workers and discharge planners. The role includes coordinating admissions, discharges, and liaison with hospitals, with on-call rotations and adherence to protocols.

The position is part-time, on-site in California, with a wage range reflecting geographic differentials. Starting pay is commensurate with experience and minimum requirements.

Qualifications

• Two years of direct service experience with persons with mental illness.
• Two years of supervisory experience with professional and non-professional staff in inpatient or outpatient settings.
• Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited college or university.
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (California).
• Valid California driver’s license and insurability.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement and direct the Social Services Department and its team of social workers and discharge planners.
• Coordinate admission and discharge processes and liaise with local hospitals and agencies.
• Participate in a structured on-call rotation and respond to work-related needs within defined timeframes.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, contractual, and local requirements.
