Job summary

Southern Highlands Community Mental Health Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide medical and psychiatric nursing support to individuals with behavioral health needs. The RN will oversee LPNs who administer medications, oversee residents' day-to-day care, participate in treatment team meetings, coordinate medical management, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across multiple programs.

Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
Current, unrestricted West Virginia Registered Nurse license.
Behavioral health nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversight and clinical guidance to LPNs who administer medications.
Oversee the day-to-day nursing care of residents.
Complete nursing assessments, screenings, and documentation.
Carry out orders from physicians and other providers.
Coordinate medical care and communicate with healthcare professionals.
Attend treatment team and interdisciplinary meetings.
Collaborate with clinical staff and treatment teams.
Serve as a medical liaison for individuals receiving services.
Support coordination of healthcare across programs.
Complete nursing assessments related to incident reports.
Conduct medication counts and ensure medication-management procedures are followed.
Provide nursing guidance, education, and staff training.
