Job summary

This Department of Veterans Affairs position in Augusta, ME seeks a Registered Nurse for the Mental Health Service. The RN will perform nursing duties, coordinate care, and participate in treatment plans within a busy outpatient clinic.

Responsibilities include managing medication care, patient education, triage, and collaboration with specialty programs such as Addiction Services. A valid RN license and ACEN/CCNE-accredited education are required.

Qualifications

• English language proficiency is required for direct patient care.
• Must graduate from a nursing program accredited by ACEN or CCNE.
• State RN license in good standing and active licensure required.
• Foreign nursing graduates must have credential evaluation as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide Mental Health Nursing care and coordination for Veterans.
• Lead as access champion through consult management in clinic.
• Coordinate care with Addiction Services and other programs.
• Manage medication care and patient education within clinic.
