Job summary

NaphCare is hiring Mental Health Psychiatric Registered Nurses (RNs) for the Mendocino County Jail in Ukiah, CA. This full-time position follows a Tues-Fri 8a-5pm schedule and includes responsibilities such as taking and documenting patient history and vital signs, mental health screenings, and responding to medical emergencies within the facility.

Responsibilities

• Take and document all patient history and vital signs
• Perform and document all patient history and vital signs, mental health screenings and/or evaluations
• Respond to and initiate care for medical and mental health emergencies
• Assist with daily triage/sick call, minor medical/surgical procedures, patient assessments, examinations and/or treatment
• Initiate and document prescribed protocol agreement
• Respond to and initiate care for medical emergencies within the facility
• Observe and evaluate the performance of the licensed practical/vocational nursing staff
