Summary
The Mental Health Professional (family based) is the lead member of a multidisciplinary team and is responsible for treatment plan development. The Mental Health Professional serves as team leader providing team and individually delivered therapy and case management to children and their families in the home and/or community. Therapists work with the child and family to improve overall family attachments and cohesion, self-regulation, and anchor a support system. This position is required to work hours that coincide with client schedules, including day, evening, and/or weekend hours.

The Position: The Mental Health Professional is a member of a multidisciplinary team. The Mental Health Professional serves as co-team leader and is responsible for providing team and individually delivered therapy, while serving as a lead therapist with the caseload of 8 children and their families in the home and/or community. This position is required to work hours that coincide with client schedules, that could include day, evening, and/or weekend hours.
Location: Wayne CountyPay rate: $25.00/hourSign on Bonus: $1,000- 3 years paid training in Eco-Systemic Structural Family Therapy Model through the Philadelphia Child and Guidance Center (eligibility for state certification upon successful completion of training)
- Schedule: Alternative work schedule-40 hours per week
Position Requirements:
Education: Master’s Level Therapist (Mental Health Professional) Qualifications
- Graduate Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, Education, Rehabilitation or any Human Services related field
- Additional requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass required background clearances and screenings (FBI, Childline, Criminal, driving record)
Work Experience:
- Previous experience working with children and families
- At least 2 years working with children and adolescence (CASSP family based)
Responsibilities:
- treatment planning
- lead therapist
- Must be experienced working with children’s behavioral health issues in an outpatient or similar level of care
- Maintain compliance with CASSP principles & principles of cultural competence
- completing intake and ongoing assessments
- maintaining a 60/40 split (60 percent working as a team 40% individually with families)
- Maintain productivity and complete documentation within established guidelines
- Complete initial assessments and treatment plans, and updates within established program timelines
- Attend staff training and supervisions as assigned
