Job summary

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Professional to join our part-time school-based team in Franklinton, NC. You will provide mental health services to students and work with educators and families to support emotional, behavioral, and social growth.

Responsibilities include assessments, intervention planning, crisis support, collaboration with school staff, and participation in IEP/504 planning.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field.
• Active NC LCMHCA, LCMHC, LMFT, LCSW, or LCSWA license required.
• Experience with children, adolescents, and families preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group, and family-focused mental health support services as appropriate.
• Conduct assessments and assist in identifying student mental health and behavioral needs.
• Develop and implement intervention plans to support student well-being and success.
• Provide crisis intervention, risk assessments, and behavioral support services as needed.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to address student needs.
• Support social-emotional learning initiatives and positive behavioral interventions.
• Participate in student support meetings, IEP meetings, 504 meetings, and other educational planning processes as needed.
• Connect students and families with community resources and support services.
• Maintain timely documentation, case notes, and compliance records.
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment.

This rewarding opportunity allows you to provide critical mental health services and support to students, helping them develop the emotional, behavioral, and social skills needed to succeed academically and personally.

As a Mental Health Professional, you will work collaboratively with students, families, educators, and school support teams to address mental health concerns, implement intervention strategies, and promote positive outcomes in a supportive educational environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field
• Active North Carolina LCMHCA, LCMHC, LMFT, LCSW, or LCSWA license required
• Experience working with children, adolescents, and families preferred
• School-based, pediatric, community mental health, or behavioral health experience preferred
• Knowledge of trauma-informed practices, crisis intervention, and social-emotional learning
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
