Pay Rate: $28.15 per hour

RADIAS Health is hiring a Mental Health Practitioner to provide mental health services at our Crisis Stabilization program. The staff will provide recovery-oriented, evidence-based treatment and rehabilitative services for 16 adults struggling with acute symptoms of mental illness and/or co-occurring substance use disorders.

The Mental Health Practitioner provides professional, quality program services to clients at the RADIAS Health Crisis facility and collaborates with team members to help clients achieve and maintain an optimal quality of life, tailored to their needs and preferences. The work involves evidence-based practices adapted for the agency and the client's specific needs. This position is an integral part of a treatment team, responsible for providing direct services, assisting in developing treatment plans, and teaching independent living skills, crisis intervention, and de-escalation, executing interventions from the treatment plan.

Hours Available:
  • Overnight: Tuesday - Saturday 12 am - 8 am, 40 hours per week

This role operates fully onsite at our Crisis facility located in Minneapolis.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Teach and develop independent living skills (relaxation, conversation skills, housekeeping, budgeting, etc.)
  • Ensure staff coverage, facility security, and supervise residents
  • Complete all paperwork, reports, and charting promptly and organized
  • Facilitate psychoeducational groups or other programming at the facility
  • Administer medications under supervision after passing medication test
  • Conduct monthly house meetings with residents, collaborating with Certified Peer Specialists
  • Assist therapists in developing treatment plans
  • Orient new admissions to residential care
  • Identify individuals prone to behavior emergencies and help develop appropriate programming
  • Help de-escalate behavior emergencies and assist in developing tailored programming
Requirements

Candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology or Social Work plus 2,000 hours of work experience providing services to adults with serious mental illness, or no college degree with 4,000 hours supervised work experience in mental health services for adults or children.
