JOB TITLE: Mental Health Practitioner
DEPARTMENT: ARMHS Program (Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Service)
SUPERVISOR: ARMHS Treatment Director

ARMHS Practitioners provide home and community-based mental health rehabilitative services to clients in the form of instruction, support, and coaching for the purpose of promoting psychiatric stability, increased social functioning and competencies, personal and emotional adjustment, and independent living skills.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES

  • Provide individual mental health rehabilitative services as described above
  • Engage with clients from empowerment, strength-based perspective
  • Develop trusting and therapeutic relationships with client
  • Master degree level practitioners will completeDiagnostic Assessments, under supervision of Mental Health Professional
  • Diagnostic Assessments under supervision of a Mental Health Professional
  • Complete Functional Assessments, Individual Treatment Plans, progress notes, and other required documentation
  • Participate in weekly individual and group clinical supervision
  • Learn and utilize skills drawn from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Illness Management & Recovery, and other evidence-based practices.
  • Facilitate and develop groups for clients
  • Coordinate services with case managers, other mental health providers, medical providers, etc.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields from an accredited college or university and at least 2,000 hours of supervised experience in the delivery of clinical services in the treatment of adults with mental illness or children with emotional disturbances
  • Strong advocacy skills and social justice orientation
  • Cultural competence and commitment toward reflective practice
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong and effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable utilizing concurrent electronic health record documentation
  • Strong clinical knowledge and skills
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license with a clear driving record and proof of insurance

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Master's Degree in one of the behavioral sciences or related field OR current Master’s Degree student
  • Experience in ARMHS service delivery

Job type: Full-time; Day Shift; flexible business hours Monday- Friday

Salary: $18.50-$25.00
*Hours and compensation are negotiable depending on the related degree, preferred hours, and experience.*
