Great opportunity exists as a Mental Health Peer Specialist in our Adult Crisis Intervention Program!

Join our professional team to provide specialized care to consumers in a 24-hour crisis stabilization setting.

The Mental Health Peer Specialist provides peer counseling and support, drawing on common experiences as a peer, to validate clients’ experiences, and to provide guidance and encouragement to clients to take responsibility and actively participate in their own recovery.

The Crisis Intervention Services: include the Adult and Youth Mobile Crisis Intervention program and are part of Aspire's Community Behavioral Health Center. Crisis services are home and community-based services for children, adolescents, adults, and families in need of immediate psychiatric intervention.

Under the direction of the Director of Crisis and Rehabilitation Services, the Mental Health Peer Specialist works to provide information, support, assistance, and advocacy for recipients and/or caregivers/family members of consumers of mental health emergency services. The specialist will also provide feedback and perspective to the mental health system relative to the impact and effectiveness of the services provided, and assist with other work related to client care, as required.
