Job summary

Chimes in Pottstown, PA is seeking an Outpatient Therapist to provide diagnostic assessments and individual and group psychotherapy for clients in a substance use treatment program.

This part-time role offers a Monday 10 am–6 pm schedule, flexible evenings, and a supportive team environment with opportunities for supervision and licensure assistance.

You'll create treatment plans, maintain accurate documentation, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support client recovery.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a clinical discipline (e.g., Counseling, Clinical Social Work, Psychology).
• Licensure preferred: LPC, LCSW, or LMFT with supervision towards licensure.
• Strong knowledge of mental health diagnoses, treatment modalities, and interventions.
• Clinical practicum must be completed; experience in substance use treatment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments for newly admitted clients.
• Provide outpatient therapy for individuals with substance use disorders.
• Develop, implement, and oversee individualized treatment plans and recovery goals.
• Provide individual and group therapy based on clinical needs.
• Deliver crisis assessment, intervention, and stabilization services as necessary.
• Apply evidence-based practices to support clients with mental health conditions and related challenges.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation (progress notes, treatment plans, discharge summaries).
• Collaborate with internal teams, external providers, and client support systems.
• Maintain compliance with licensure requirements and ongoing training standards.

What We’re Looking For

• Education: Master’s degree in a clinical discipline (e.g., Counseling, Clinical Social Work, Psychology)
• Licensure: LPC, LCSW, or LMFT (preferred) (Free Clinical Supervision towards licensure)
• MUST HAVE:
  • Strong knowledge of mental health diagnoses, treatment modalities, and therapeutic interventions
  • Clinical Practicum must be completed
  • Experience working in substance use treatment settings, with an understanding of addiction, recovery principles, and evidence-based interventions.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Clearances:
  • Pennsylvania Act 33 & 34 Clearances
  • FBI Fingerprinting Clearance
  • Verification of no exclusions from Medicaid/Medicare

Note: At the discretion of the Personnel Officer, additional related experience and/or education may be substituted instead of the requirements specified under Education and Experience
