Galen College of Nursing is seeking an Adjunct Nursing Faculty member to facilitate learning, assess student outcomes, and contribute to curriculum development. The role emphasizes alignment with state and federal regulations and college standards within a clinical education setting.

The position requires an MSN, RN licensure, and at least two years of clinical RN experience, with potential BSN consideration depending on campus needs.

Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in applicable state and per State Board of Nursing.
• MSN degree required; BSN prepared considered depending on campus needs.
• Minimum of two years clinical RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Creates an environment that facilitates learning and achieving desired student learning and program outcomes.
• Implements teaching strategies appropriate to learner needs, outcomes, content, and context.
• Helps students develop as nurses and integrate the values and behaviors expected of those who fulfill that role.
• Uses strategies to assess and evaluate student learning in all settings (classroom, lab, clinical) and all domains (cognitive, psychomotor, affective).
• Analyzes student assessment data to inform course improvements.
• Implements PSLOs to guide curriculum and learning progress.
• Designs and implements program assessments for continuous quality improvement.
• Participates in professional development to enhance faculty effectiveness.
• Maintains professional practice knowledge to prepare students for contemporary nursing practice.
• Demonstrates commitment to Galen College of Nursing's mission and values.
• Adheres to state board requirements as outlined.
