The University of Chicago seeks a Psychiatric Provider to deliver routine and emergent psychiatric care to students under supervision. You will collaborate with MHS and SW teams, identify and manage mental health problems, and participate in case conferences and campus-based services, including potential evening or weekend hours.
Minimum qualifications include Illinois licensure, nursing degree, and PMHNP credentials or eligibility.
Mental Health Services is a part of Student Wellness within Campus and Student Life. MHS provides mental health care for students eligible students. Mental health services include diagnostic assessments, emergency services, crisis intervention, individual, couples, and/or group psychotherapy, medication management, academic skills counseling, and referral services. MHS staff provides consultation to University faculty, staff, and administrators who have concerns about a student. In its care for students, MHS employs a multidisciplinary team of mental health clinicians and supports a psychology training program and a psychiatry resident training rotation site.
Provides routine and emergent psychiatric care to University of Chicago students under the supervision of a collaborating physician. Consults with multidisciplinary Mental Health Services (MHS) and Student Wellness (SW) staff, in accordance with privileges approved by the credentials committee, to identify and manage mental health problems.
