Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health Inc. is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager to lead the nursing team in a psychiatric setting, ensuring the plan of care supports patient outcomes and regulatory standards.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, NJ RN license, and at least 3 years of psychiatric experience with 1 year in leadership, plus strong communication and computer skills. A MSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Minimum of 3 years psychiatric experience and 1 year in a leadership capacity.
• Completes mandatory educational requirements for position and maintains professional licenses and certifications.
• Seeks opportunities for professional self-development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills that may include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

Responsibilities

• Manages and leads staff on assigned shifts to ensure quality care while adhering to the plan of care and regulatory standards.
• Assumes administrative and clinical responsibility in the absence of the Vice President of Patient Care Services.
• Supports program policies and procedures and maintains accreditation readiness.
