Saratoga Medical Center, Inc. is hiring a Mental Health Monitor to support the Maricopa County Correctional Health Services in Phoenix, AZ. This contract-based opportunity focuses on patient observation and daily reporting in a correctional mental health setting.

The role requires high school diploma or GED, BLS/First Aid, N95 fit testing, and experience with monitoring screens and documenting observations for licensed nurses. Shifts include 3x12-hour options and PRN coverage.

Mental Health Monitor

Saratoga Medical (DBA Saratoga Ascend) is hiring a Mental Health Monitor for opportunities with Maricopa County Correctional Health Services in Phoenix, AZ. These are great opportunities for someone with medical support or patient observation experience to work in a correctional mental health setting.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience monitoring multiple screens, observing patients, and reporting findings
• Minimum 6 months of clerical or support services experience in a medical setting
• Active BLS and First Aid Certificate from American Heart Association (AHA).
• Current completed N95 fit testing

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor patients on suicide watch, therapeutic restraints, or at risk of self-harm or harm to others
• Perform visual or video monitoring and report observations to the licensed nurse
• Accurately complete and process required documentation
• Report and document changes in patient activity and charts
• Follow directions from medical personnel and unit procedures

Available Schedules

• WOC – Day Shift: 3×12-hour shifts/week, minimum 13 weeks + extension / Jail/Clinic: Lower Buckeye Jail (LBJ), in the Mental Health Unit (MHU)
• WOC – Night Shift: 3×12-hour shifts/week, minimum 13 weeks + extension / Jail/Clinic: Lower Buckeye Jail (LBJ), in the Mental Health Unit (MHU)
• PRN – Day Shift: Flexible PRN opportunity / Where needed in Maricopa County, AZ
• PRN – Night Shift: Flexible PRN opportunity / Where needed in Maricopa County, AZ
