Ridgeview Behavioral Health Services in Oak Ridge, TN, seeks an Overnight Mental Health Crisis Clinician for 36 hours per week (8pm–8am, Fri–Sun) or a weekend days option (Sat–Sun, 8am–8pm). Aimed at night-owl professionals, this role supports a 24/7 mobile crisis team with supervision toward licensure.

Candidate must have a master’s in social work, psychology, or counseling, a TN driver’s license, and licensure progression (LMSW/LPC-MHSP) within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work, psychology, or counseling.
• Must possess and maintain a valid TN driver's license and a safe driving record.
• LMSW/Temporary LPC license or ability to obtain within 6 months to progress to LCSW / LPC-MHSP.
• New graduates considered and fully supported on the path to licensure.
• Mandatory Prescreening Agent (MPA) designation upon hire or upon obtaining license; training provided.
• Excellent verbal and written skills required.
• Knowledge of DSM-5 criteria and ability to determine preliminary mental health diagnosis.

Responsibilities

• Assess adults experiencing psychiatric emergencies to determine crisis needs and perform crisis intervention.
• Conduct telephone consultations and linkage with community resources.
• Pre-screening admissions of emergency hospital commitments.
• Follow up to ensure appropriate service is available; utilize telehealth for some services.
• Demonstrate positive interactions and communications with community agencies and related public relations activities.

RIDGEVIEW, a not-for-profit community mental health center based in Oak Ridge, TN, has an immediate opening for a full-time (36 hrs/wk) Overnight Mental Health Crisis Clinician, Friday through Sunday, 8pm-8am Our Mobile Crisis Team is on the job 24/7 and this position is ideal for a night owl.

Alternatively, we are hiring for Saturday & Sunday days, 8am-8pm, which is a part-time position.

Are you a recent Masters level grad in Social Work, Counseling or Psychology? We want to partner with you! We provide supervision toward licensure as an LCSW (social work) or LPC-MHSP (counseling). We pay for all required tests and the license itself. Additionally, we offer membership in your professional organization and provide a bonus upon completion of the Mandatory Prescreening Agent (MPA) program. About the job

Our crisis center operates 24 hours/day and 7 days/week to provide crisis assessments either in person or via telehealth from our main center location. We provide full training for you to competently conduct mental health assessments and you will have seasoned team leads available for consult throughout your tenure. Your assessments are a needed service for community members experiencing a broad range of mental health, behavioral, and/or substance abuse issues. You will be the person there when families are struggling the most.

QUALIFICATIONS

The Mental Health Crisis Clinicianposition requires a master's degree in social work, psychology, or counseling. Must possess and maintain a valid TN driver's license and a safe driving record. LMSW/ Temporary LPC license or the ability to obtain one of these licenses within a 6 month time frame is preferred in order to ensure progression to the LCSW / LPC-MHSP level. However, new graduates will be considered and, if chosen, fully supported on the path to licensure. The candidate will obtain Mandatory Prescreening Agent (MPA) designation upon hire or when the license is obtained; training is provided. A bonus is awarded once the MPA designation has been confirmed. Excellent verbal and written skills required. Knowledge of DSM5 criteria and ability to determine preliminary mental health diagnosis.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The right Social Worker or Counselor for the Mental Health Crisis Clinician position will assessof adults experiencing a psychiatric emergency to determinemental health crisis needs and performcrisis intervention, telephone consultation, linkage with community resources, and pre-screening admissions of emergency hospital commitments.
