Job summary

The GEO Group is seeking a dedicated mental health professional in Texas to deliver clinical services in support of our correctional and community reentry programs. You will conduct interviews, assessments, and a range of counseling modalities to address individual needs and safety concerns.

You will develop treatment plans, provide case management, and coordinate with internal departments and external community partners to ensure continuity of care after release.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a mental health field (psychology, counseling or social work).
• State licensure as a Clinical Social Worker, LPC, LMHP or Mental Health Counselor (if license eligible, provide documentation).
• 1 year of mental health services experience in an institutional setting preferred.
• Ability to work in crisis situations professionally and maturely.
• Strong counseling and motivational skills; reports must be clear and timely.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mental health interviews, screenings and evaluations to plan services.
• Provide individual and group counseling, including crisis and specialty groups.
• Deliver case management to ensure continuity of services.
• Prepare mental health documentation meeting standards in a timely manner.
• Consult with Security, Medical, Classification and other departments as needed.
• Respond to emergencies and provide crisis intervention when required.
• Coordinate post-release planning and liaise with community mental health facilities.
