Job summary

Our House in Little Rock, AR seeks a licensed clinical social worker to provide evidence-based mental health care to individuals and families enrolled in our programs. The role requires strong leadership, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and a commitment to trauma-sensitive practices.

Qualifications

• LMSW licensed social worker required.
• 3+ years post-master’s degree experience.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and vehicle for Central Arkansas travel.

About the Role

You will be responsible for providing evidence-based care and therapeutic services to Our House clients, specifically individuals and families, to help meet the biopsychosocial needs of those clients. You will provide significant leadership in the integration of a client’s involvement with Our House programs, helping to ensure that all aspects of their needs are being met.

What You’ll Do

• Provide the following services to individuals and families in Our House programs:
  • Identify individuals and families who need help and provide diagnostic and comprehensive assessments using a strengths-based approach
  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy based on the mental and behavioral health challenges of Our House clients
  • Develop and evaluate treatment plans with clients and families to help resolve challenges and reach individualized goals
  • Identify appropriate internal, external, and community resources and facilitate referrals to services that meet clients’ and families’ needs
  • Respond to crisis situations using trauma-informed de-escalation techniques and support the team in effective crisis intervention
  • Support the team in helping families coordinate their behavioral and primary healthcare, including performing mental health evaluations (MHEs) for families enrolled in our programs and referring clients to healthcare services
  • Regularly follow up with individuals and families to ensure that their situations have improved and that they have the resources to maintain stability long term
  • Maintain client files, case notes, and required documentation in an organized way
  • Maintain client confidentiality and a high level of integrity around private health information
  • Lead psychosocial, educational, and process groups, and help facilitate parenting education programming and life skills education
• Provide leadership in program development around Our House social work services:
  • Directly supervise a team of mental health therapists and social work interns
  • Support your team as they maintain caseloads, seek professional development, accomplish program goals, and uphold ethical and agency standards
  • Build partnerships with outside organizations that increase access to services
  • Be a champion of Our House as a learning lab for the social work community
• Ensure that all clients are treated fairly and with respect and that Our House maintains an environment that is inclusive and safe for all people
• Actively participate in weekly staff meeting, staffing, committees, and other team meetings to problem-solve client challenges and maximize engagement
• Actively engage and energize Our House staff members, volunteers, board members, event committees, partnering organizations, donors, and grant funders
• May provide professional and staff development training for staff around client services and social work topics
• Maintain licensure and all required continuing education
• Other duties as assigned to fulfill Our House’s mission

• Strong written and verbal communication skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent interpersonal and multidisciplinary project skills

Requirements

• LMSW required, LCSW preferred
• 3 years of experience post Master’s degree
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and vehicle to use in performance of job. The position requires some travel within Central Arkansas.
• Must be able to pass criminal background checks, child and adult maltreatment registry checks, sex offender registry checks, and a pre-employment drug screen
