ReDiscover is seeking a Mental Health Clinician to join our Youth Urgent Care location!

WHAT WE DO
The Behavioral Health Urgent Care Clinic (BHUCC) is the first of its kind in the Kansas City area, providing the community with immediate, same-day access to psychiatric medication for mental health and substance use needs. Our multidisciplinary team offers care every day of the week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet clients' and community needs.
Typical responsibilities include:
- Maintaining and interacting with a caseload of clients with diverse characteristics, either in-person or over the phone.
- Conducting high-quality clinical assessments and developing individualized treatment plans promptly.
- Identifying and providing clinical interventions and referrals based on client needs.
- Empowering clients to develop skills and support systems crucial for community functioning.
- Assessing clients continually for progress or emergent needs and addressing them clinically.
- Conducting individual, group education, and therapy sessions for clients in our Substance Use Disorder program.
- Engaging difficult-to-serve clients by exploring all potential resources to facilitate access and connections.
- Documenting client interactions accurately within ReDiscover’s electronic medical record system.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and ensure positive communication.
Requirements before starting:
- Master’s or Doctorate Degree in a social science field (as defined by the Department of Mental Health).
- Active Provisional Counselor license (PLPC) through Missouri or a Master Social Worker license (LMSW) with supervised registration for licensure as a Clinical Social Worker.
- Active clinical license in Missouri, such as Psychologist, LPC, LMFT, or LCSW, preferred.
- Availability to work Tuesday-Friday, 10:00 am - 8:30 pm.
- At least two years of experience in direct mental health services.
- Knowledge of mental illnesses and substance use disorders.
- Excellent customer service skills with a recovery-oriented approach.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
- Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and GSuite.
