Posting Summary

Rutgers University Correctional Health Care (UCHC) seeks a Mental Health Clinician III at Northern State Prison, Newark, NJ. The clinician assesses clinical needs of adult inmates sentenced to the Department of Corrections. Key duties include:

  • Accurately arriving at DSM-V multi-axial diagnoses by the end of evaluations.
  • Making clinical decisions regarding treatment appropriateness and modality.
  • Providing crisis intervention, group psychotherapy, and psycho-education as assigned.
  • Developing and implementing treatment plans, ongoing assessments, and discharge planning.
  • Maintaining timely and accurate inmate clinical records per RBHS policy.

Salary and Benefits
