Job summary

Liberty Healthcare Corporation seeks a full-time Clinician for its forensic mental health program in San Diego County. ACSWs and AMFTs are encouraged to apply to work with inmates deemed incompetent to stand trial.

The position splits time onsite at two jail facilities: Las Colinas Detention and Reentry Facility in Santee and Rock Mountain Detention Facility in San Diego. Schedule is Mon–Fri, 8:00 am–4:30 pm, with benefits including health, dental, vision, and 30 days PTO, plus FSA and 401k and

ACSWs and AMFTs are encouraged to consider a full-time Clinician position with Liberty Healthcare’s forensic mental health program in San Diego County.

Program overview

Liberty Healthcare’s program operates within multiple San Diego County jail facilities and exclusively serves inmates who have been determined to be incompetent to stand trial due to mental illness.

The goal of the program is to provide rapid mental health services to people in need - so they may achieve improved behavioral health outcomes as quickly as possible.

Clinician job responsibilities

• Providing mental health services to clients one-to-one and in-person

• Performing psychosocial evaluations

• Providing cognitive-behavioral treatment, psychoeducation and crisis intervention

• Documenting treatment and progress

• Participating in clinical team meetings

• Consulting and collaborating with clinical, ancillary and security staff

Work setting

You will split time working onsite at these two jail facilities:

• The Las Colinas Detention and Reentry Facility at 451 Riverview Parkway in Santee, CA 92071

• The Rock Mountain Detention Facility at 406 Alta Road in San Diego, CA 92158 (nearby Otay Mesa)

Schedule

You will work Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm

Pay and benefits

• Starting pay between $72,384 and $85,000 (depending on accrued hours)
