Job summary

State of South Carolina's Office of Mental Health seeks a Program Manager I for the Barnwell Center. You will oversee clinical operations, supervise staff, and ensure program coverage across the Barnwell County satellite office.

The role requires a Master’s in social work or related field, plus 2+ years of counseling and supervisory experience, and SC licensure or licensure pursuit within six months. Bilingual abilities are a plus and essential procedures must be followed.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, guidance, counseling or the social sciences.
• Two years of post-graduate experience providing counseling/treatment.
• Licensed in SC or pursuing licensure within six months of hire.
• Two years of paid supervisory experience.
• Ability to lift 5 pounds and operate a state vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide management for the Barnwell Center and participate in agency planning and improvement processes.
• Assist with implementation of clinical initiatives and agency initiatives.
• Ensure coverage for programs/services offered via Barnwell County satellite office.
• Ensure staff are knowledgeable of patient care hours standards for clinical service.
• Provide direct services to patients with an annual 440-hours care requirement.
• Assist with crisis response in Barnwell County.
• Ensure documentation meets OMH/QA/CARF/ABMHC standards and safety plans.
• Oversee PB caseload per LOC and functionality, including DLA-20 updates and discharge planning.
• Engage with Barnwell Community to address mental health needs and share information.
• Recruit, develop and retain a diverse, motivated workforce.
• Pursue professional development and comply with policies.
