Job description

Hourly Pay Range:

$26.61 - $39.92 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

  • Position: Mental Health Associate II
  • Location: Deerfield, IL
  • Full Time/Part Time: Full Time (40 hours/wk)
  • Hours:Monday to Friday, 8:00AM-4:30PM
  • Required Travel: N/A

What you will do:

  • Mental Health Associate is a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Acts as a partner with an accountable nurse to serve as either a primary or associate caregiver to assigned patients for the extent of the hospital stay.
  • The counselor collaborates with the professional nurse and multi-disciplinary team members to provide holistic, individualized patient care and therapeutic milieu management.

What you will need:

  • License: N/A
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree-Human Services or Associate's degree with three years' inpatient psychiatric experience
  • Certification: CPR
  • Experience: With human services such as inpatient psychiatry or direct patient care preferred
  • Skills: Interpersonal skills, knowledge of psychiatric terminology & theory, empathy
