Responsibilities

• Facilitates didactic, educational and unit/program community groups; encourages patient participation.
• Provides one‑to‑one supervision to ensure patient safety and engagement in treatment.
• Orients new patients to unit, program and milieu, and communicates handoff information.
• Participates in interdisciplinary treatment planning and discharge planning input.
• Completes patient, program and department documentation accurately and promptly.
• Performs clerical and supportive duties to enhance department operations and track patient progress.

## Mental Health Associate I - Linden Oaks/Chemical Dependency - Night ShiftApplylocations: LOH Naperville Main Hospitaltime type: Part timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: R45143**Hourly Pay Range:**$24.86 - $37.29 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.**Position Highlights:*** Position: Mental Health Associate I* Sign on bonus: N/A* Location: Linden Oaks Hospital ; Naperville* Part Time/Full Time : Per Diem (As needed)* Hours: Night Shift (11:00pm-7:00am OR 7pm-7am) Weekends/Holiday's required.**What you will do:*** Facilitates didactic, educational and unit/program community groups within the assigned treatment programs. Encourages and facilitates patients’ participation in therapeutic activities. Supervises patients to ensure their safety and their involvement in treatment.* Ensures patient safety by providing one-to-one supervision. Unit rounds are conducted, and precautions records completed in real time. Precautions records are accurately labeled.* Orients new patients to unit, program and milieu by establishing a rapport with patients and families and making necessary introductions. Provides appropriate hand off information when accepting or receiving borders from other units.* Participates in treatment planning by working with interdisciplinary team to identify patients’ problems, needs and strengths, suggests modifications to treatment plan based on observation of patient behavior and provides input into discharge planning.* Completes patient, program, and department documentation.* Performs various clerical and administrative assignments to support department operations.* Monitors and reports patients’ progress and communicates information to charge person on assigned shift and family members.What you will need:Education and/or Experience Required:* A Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a Behavioral Health related field, no previous experience or* A Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a non-Behavioral Health related field, a minimum of one year of behavioral health experience* Maintain information as highly confidential* Ability to maintain professional boundaries and willingness to seek supervisionEducation and/or Experience Preferred:* Familiarity with medical and psychological terminology* Skills in teaching or assisting with activities of daily living* Prior experience with therapeutic limit-setting and milieu managementLicensure and/or Certification Required:* A valid driver’s license is required if the incumbent is selected to perform related duties at an off-site location.
