Job summary

Pembroke Hospital, a 120-bed acute care, inpatient behavioral health facility south of Boston in Pembroke, MA, seeks a Mental Health Associate for full-time evening or overnight shifts. The role requires flexibility to work every other weekend with shift differentials.

You will help maintain a safe, therapeutic environment, document changes in patient behavior, and assist with group activities, serving diverse populations while delivering trauma-informed, age-appropriate care.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred for behavioral health roles.
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
  • Impeccable Judgment & professionalism.
  • Ability to maintain composure in a crisis situation.

  • Provide routine patient care as required in a psychiatric environment
  • Document and communicate unusual or erratic changes in client behaviors

  • Work with culturally and generationally diverse populations to meet their individual needs

  • Maintain therapeutic boundaries and utilize crisis intervention techniques

Responsibilities

Pembroke Hospital is a 120-bed acute care, inpatient behavioral health facility located south of Boston, in Pembroke, MA. Situated on 26 acres, we offer inpatient and partial hospitalization treatment to teens, adults and older adults, and our services are designed to assess, stabilize, and treat patients by addressing their primary symptoms and problems. The Mental Health Associate is a vital part of Pembroke Hospital’s treatment team. This is a full time position with an opportunity to work on the evening or overnight shift. Our full time positions require employees to work every other weekend and there is a competitive shift differential for the evening, night, and weekend shifts. The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $28.00 per hour depending on education level and years (0-20 scale) of experience.

Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
  • College student who have obtained or are pursuing their degree in behavioral health, psychology, or human services are preferred
