Job summary

Arbour Hospital - Jamaica Plain is seeking a Mental Health Associate for a 24-hour per week, part-time role. You will help maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for patients in a psychiatric setting and support routine care while observing changes in patient behavior.

You will work with a diverse patient population, provide group activities, and apply trauma-informed care with strong communication and crisis-management skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• College students pursuing behavioral health, psychology, or human services are considered.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Impeccable judgment and professionalism.
• Ability to remain composed in crisis situations.

Mental Health Associate Opportunity - 24 Hours (Part-time)

At Arbour Hospital - Jamaica Plain, we work diligently and compassionately to provide patients and their families with high-quality care and service excellence across a continuum of specialized behavioral health services. We have proudly served the residents of the greater Boston area since 1909. Our medical staff consists of psychiatrists who average 20 years of practice at our facility, providing a solid and trusted foundation for our patient-focused approach to behavioral healthcare. We are an important community resource for a wide range of vital behavioral healthcare services. We treat primary psychiatric and substance abuse disorders and constantly strive to meet the needs of our communities with treatment that address individualized behavioral health needs. We stand ready to provide compassionate care through inpatient treatment and a strong continuum of aftercare services, community-based programs, and day treatment.

The Mental Health Associate

is a vital part of Arbour Hospital’s treatment team. Our positions require employees to work every other weekend and there is a competitive shift differential for the evening, night, and weekend shifts.
