Job summary

Sentara RMH Medical Center in Harrisonburg, VA invites applications for a Mental Health Associate in the Behavioral Health Unit. The role provides direct and indirect patient care under RN supervision, while supporting nursing care and group activities.

You will lead education and activity groups, assist with milieu management to maintain a safe, therapeutic setting for patients and staff, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. A Bachelor's degree is required, with QMHP preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; or 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
• QMHP certification preferred.

Overview

Sentara RMH Medical Center is now hiring a Mental Health Associate in the Behavioral Health Unit. This position performs direct and indirect patient care activities for mental health patients, including technical duties in support of the delivery of nursing care and under supervision of a RN. Leads and co-facilitates educational and activity groups. Assists with milieu management to ensure a safe, therapeutic environment for patients and staff.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree (Required)
