Crawford County Mental Health Center is seeking staff to provide support and solution-focused interventions under supervision to consumers in need. The role includes assisting with treatment plans, facilitating access to community resources, and transporting clients when required, with close supervision in group settings.
The position requires MOAB training, willingness to perform safe restraint techniques when necessary, a valid Kansas driver’s license, and certification to provide the service.
This position provides support and solution-focused interventions to achieve identified goals or objectives as set forth in the consumer’s individualized treatment plan. This position also facilitates services that are designed to assist the consumer with compensating for or eliminating functional deficits and interpersonal and/or environmental barriers associated with their mental illness. At times this position will provide services to consumers who are experiencing a psychiatric crisis with services designed to interrupt and/or ameliorate a crisis experience. As medically necessary, this position will aid in the form of direct support, supervision, and/or cueing so that the consumer performs the task by him/herself. Many contacts will occur in community locations where the consumer lives, works, attends school and/or socializes. This position conducts activities under the direction of senior clinical staff.
