Job description

What you’ll do at OhioMHAS:

  • Supervise Lake County
  • Provide and coordinate services
  • Review and approve staff time sheets/travel expenses
  • Develop and approve staff work schedules
  • Conduct annual performance evaluations
  • Develop and implement quality improvement plans
  • Assist and participate in the interview process
  • Develop policies and procedures

This is an hourly position and is exempt from the bargaining units, with a pay range of #12 on the E1 Exempt Pay Range Schedule. Normal working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm (Flexible Schedule).

Unless required by any applicable union contract and/or requirements of the Ohio Revised Code, the selected candidate will begin at Step 1 of the pay range schedule listed above, with an opportunity for a pay increase after six months of satisfactory performance and then a yearly raise thereafter.

Additional Salary / Appointment Information:

Pay increase of 4.5% July 1, 2025 and a 3% increase July 1, 2026.

Minimum qualifications include: 24 months of experience in the development & implementation of treatment/habilitation plans for individuals who are mentally ill or developmentally disabled, working as part of an inter-disciplinary team to assess individual needs & abilities; 12 months of experience as a lead worker providing work direction & training for other employees; 12 months of training or experience in state &/or federal regulations & standards governing care, custody & programming of consumers/residents in mental health or developmental centers; 6 months of experience in writing or assisting in the development of policies, procedures, goals & objectives of an operational unit or program; 1 course in manpower planning or 3 months of experience scheduling staff to ensure adequate coverage; and 3 months of training in budgeting or 3 months of experience preparing or assisting in preparation of a budget for an operational unit or program.

Alternatively, completion of an undergraduate core program in mental health & developmental disabilities technology, social work, or a comparable field (e.g., child & family community services), along with the same experience and training requirements as listed above.

Also, 6 months of experience as a Mental Health Administrator 2, 65222, or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
