Mental Health / Addiction Services Masters-level Therapist - Eaton County area

Our Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Therapist provides clinical services to clients and families, clinical leadership to case managers or recovery coaches involved in the case, and is responsible for assessments, treatment plans, quarterly reviews, and therapeutic services, including authorizations and reauthorizations for each clinical case.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop person-centered treatment plans addressing client needs, including family engagement when applicable
• Coordinate care with family and involved individuals such as school personnel, probation officers, mentors, DHHS, medical personnel, etc.
• Provide individual, family therapy, and case management services as needed
• Market and network with community partners and referral sources, including attending community meetings and distributing marketing materials
• Complete all documentation promptly, including service plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries
• Represent Samaritas' mission and vision with community partners, exercising integrity and excellence
• Monitor and evaluate the quality of treatment services provided to caseload clients
• Participate in staff and therapist meetings and other relevant meetings
• Ensure timely compliance with Quality Assurance standards related to role responsibilities

Professional Growth

• Maintain knowledge of licensing and accreditation standards, ensuring compliance
• Engage in educational opportunities such as trainings, conferences, and peer supervision for skill development

Job Qualifications

Education, Training, and Licensure/Certification

• Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution
• Two years of clinical experience working with SUD clients preferred
• Experience working with an interdisciplinary team is preferred

Experience

• Minimum one year of SUD counseling experience preferred
• Experience working in a team environment is preferred
• Familiarity with SUD documentation is preferred

• Valid unrestricted driver's license with a good driving record and proof of automobile insurance
