Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in any of the social sciences preferred.
• Experience with mentally ill clients preferred.
• Experience with activity-based groups preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with others.

Responsibilities

• Insures a safe and therapeutic environment on the unit through observation, monitoring, interacting and providing groups.
• When assigned, assists registered nurses in direct care of patients, specifically activities of daily living.
• Acts as patient advocate by modeling standards of performance and by meeting patients’ needs for service.
