Job summary

SMA Healthcare in Deland, FL seeks a Behavioral Health Technician for our men's residential treatment program. You will monitor client behavior, provide positive reinforcement, and support daily life skills activities to promote safety and well-being.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Six months of related human services experience preferred.
• Certification as Behavioral Health Technician preferred.
• Knowledge of basic client care skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor behavior and activities of each client and report concerns.
• Serve as a positive role model and reinforce approved techniques.
• Conduct basic life skills activities.
• Process admissions and discharges and orient clients to the facility.
• Complete program documentation and reporting as required.
• Document clients' activities and behavior changes.
• Ensure adherence to schedule and routine.
• Assist with transports and safety checks as needed.
