About Us: Stafford HC is a vibrant, family-friendly and inclusive club dedicated to promoting the sport of hockey in the local community. We are committed to developing players of all ages and skill levels, fostering a love for the game, and achieving excellence on and off the field.

Our Men’s 1st XI are in Midlands Men’s Division 4 West for the 2024/25 season, where they will be striving for promotion next season. Our Men’s 2nd XI are in Midlands Men’s Division 6 North West and again are looking to consolidate their position in this league with the potential for pushing towards the top of the league.

Job Description: We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the sport, a strong understanding of coaching at this level if not higher, as well as the ability to inspire and motivate players.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organise, and conduct an effective training program for the 1st XI squad and 2nd XI squad.
  • Attend all 1st XI matches.
  • Develop and implement game strategies and tactics.
  • Provide constructive feedback and support to players to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive team environment.
  • Monitor and evaluate player progress and development.
  • Collaborate with other coaches to ensure a cohesive club coaching approach.

Qualifications:

  • Previous coaching experience at a similar level.
  • Relevant coaching certifications (e.g., Level 2 or equivalent, safeguarding, first aid, etc).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively with players of all ages and varying abilities.
  • Commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive team culture.
