Job description

Men's Basketball - Assistant Strength Coach

Join to apply for the Men's Basketball - Assistant Strength Coach role at Lipscomb University.

Reporting to the Head Basketball Coach, the Assistant Strength Coach for Men's Basketball will be responsible for the strength and conditioning program within the Men's Basketball team.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement individualized strength and conditioning programs for student-athletes in collaboration with the Men's Basketball staff.
  2. Conduct physical assessments and implement corrective exercises tailored to each athlete.
  3. Maintain certifications such as NSCA CSCS and RSCC.
  4. Adhere to Lipscomb University, ASUN Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.
  5. Collaborate with athletic training, sports nutrition, and coaching staff to support athlete health and performance.
  6. Support injury prevention and rehabilitation efforts alongside the Athletic Training staff.
  7. Maintain and inspect strength and conditioning equipment regularly, recommending repairs or replacements as needed.
  8. Manage and supervise the operation of the weight room.
  9. Familiarity with Kinexon or similar technology is preferred.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned, consistent with the position and qualifications.
