AMG Companies is seeking a Designer to create men’s activewear and lifestyle apparel for a leading brand. You will partner with the Design Director to translate market trends into market-relevant designs that satisfy key retail partners.

You will research trends, develop color palettes, and produce sketches and CADs, using Illustrator and Centric PLM for detailed tech packs. Strong communication with Merchandising, Sales, and Production is essential to ensure timely, high‑quality execution.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of design experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or related field.
• Proven design experience in men’s apparel and activewear.
• Strong knowledge of fabrications, trims, and apparel construction.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office.
• PLM experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Research trends and forecast concepts, color, mood, and styling for off‑price and club retailers.
• Define overall tone and direction of the product line with market insights.
• Design silhouettes aligned with design direction and merchandising plan.
• Collaborate on color palettes and fabric/trim selections.
• Create sketches and CADs using Illustrator.
• Develop detailed tech packs for costing, sampling, and production in Centric PLM.
• Communicate design direction to the Design Assistant and other teams.
• Maintain clear communication on project status with cross‑functional teams.
• Present design concepts to internal teams and licensees/retail partners.
• Coordinate with Graphics to ensure cohesive branding across seasons.
• Develop SKU plans with Merchandising and Sales.
• Ensure sampling aligns with merchandising plans.
• Collaborate with overseas offices during development.
• Oversee trim development to meet sample timelines.
• Incorporate feedback from sales/retail into design iterations.
• Attend fittings and review samples to ensure design integrity.
