Job summary

Henkel Adhesive Technologies is seeking a Sr. Engineering Project Manager in Memphis, TN to drive capital projects from planning through commissioning.

You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to budget while applying engineering excellence across processes and safety standards. The role requires 1–3 years in chemical processing, a bachelor’s in chemical or mechanical engineering, and strong project management capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• 1–3 years in chemical process industry with hands-on or supporting experience.
• Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and make data-driven decisions.
• Knowledge of unit operations and PLC/DCS systems.
• Familiarity with API, ASME, NFPA, ISO, OSHA standards; small capital project management.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, execution, and delivery of capital projects on schedule and within budget.
• Assist with basic and detailed engineering for large capital projects.
• Generate purchase orders and track equipment/materials.
• Coordinate daily activities between contractors and internal operations; participate in contractor meetings.
• Conduct field verification of installations against P&IDs and equipment sheets to ensure correct execution.
• Support safety programs and compliance initiatives including Safe Work Permits and risk assessments.
• Assist with equipment commissioning and startup activities.
