Description:

JOB DUTIES:

Memory Validation technicians perform various hardware and software testing to determine functional issues/failures on client server systems. They are responsible for building out new platforms, including installation of hardware and software to bring systems online and ready for testing. They also handle initial failure debug/triage, interpret log files, track inventory and equipment status, follow instructions meticulously, maintain detailed notes, and communicate effectively with the team. Tasks must be completed timely, often under high-pressure situations to meet deadlines.

Experience and Education:

• AAS/BS/BE/MS Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Technology
• Strong background in computer hardware, software, and PC architecture
• Extensive familiarity with Windows and Linux OS, preferred
• Minimum of 5+ years in PC hardware and software validation
• PC troubleshooting/debugging/triage skills required
• Experience with PC hardware devices, motherboard architecture, and OS installation including drivers
• Experience flashing BIOS using ROM burner or utilities
• Knowledge of voltage rails, signals, components using schematics
• Ability to read system registers, use multimeter, oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail

Programming:

Experience developing Python or other scripting languages independently.

• Willingness to learn and grow, problem-solving skills
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• Soldering experience (nice to have)
• Familiarity with DIMM terminology (type, size, speed)
