Job summary

Teradyne is seeking a Calibration Engineering Manager for memory test in San Jose, CA. You will lead a team of calibration and diagnostics engineers, drive hiring and development, and set the technical roadmap for calibration software.

You will coordinate with Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Hardware, FPGA, and Systems teams to ensure successful product releases, while advancing calibration methods and measurement accuracy across memory test platforms.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 10+ years of engineering experience.
• 3+ years of engineering management or technical leadership experience.
• Experience leading cross-functional engineering programs.
• Strong understanding of calibration methodologies, instrumentation, and measurement systems.
• Proven ability to build and develop high-performing engineering teams.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of calibration and diagnostics engineers.
• Drive hiring, onboarding, performance management, and employee development.
• Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration, and technical excellence.
• Develop technical growth plans and succession strategies for the organization.
• Define the technical vision and roadmap for calibration and diagnostics software.
• Guide architecture decisions for calibration algorithms, software frameworks, and analysis infrastructure.
• Review critical technical designs and provide guidance on complex technical challenges.
• Ensure engineering best practices are consistently applied across projects.
• Establish priorities and allocate resources to meet product and business objectives.
• Partner with Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Hardware, FPGA, and Systems teams to deliver successful product releases.
• Support manufacturing scalability and improve calibration efficiency and test throughput.
• Lead resolution of critical customer and manufacturing escalations.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, productivity, and reliability.
• Communicate project status, technical risks, and strategic initiatives to senior leadership.
