Job summary

Ingleside at Rock Creek in Washington, DC is seeking an Assistant for the ACT LE Memory Support Social Day Program. This full-time, on-site role focuses on Engaged Living adult day programming, planning and leading activities that maximize social, cognitive, and physical functioning.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or related degree, a Dementia Practitioner certification or eligibility within 90 days, and strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or Associates Degree in a Human Service field required.
• Certification as a Dementia Practitioner (CDP) or eligibility within 90 days of hire.
• Six months to one year related experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement group and individual life enrichment programs.
• Assist with planning and executing person-centered programs for Memory Support.
• Provide oversight and supervision to students, interns, and volunteers.
• Maintain materials, calendar, and coordination of activities.
• Assist in dining room and support residents during activities.
• Participate in off-site trips and special events.
