Job summary

Renesas Electronics is seeking a Memory Server System Testing Intern for a summer internship in San Jose, CA. This program runs May 24 to August 13 and you must not have graduated before September 2027.

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of digital and analog circuits, semiconductor devices, and computer architecture principles.
• Familiarity with Windows, Linux and memory test applications for system level memory testing.
• Familiarity with lab equipment and measurement techniques for silicon validation.
• Proficiency in Python, C/C++, or scripting languages for test automation and data analysis.
• Hands-on experience with Python-based test automation equipment and lab instruments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex technical issues.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies in silicon validation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in system level testing, duplication, verification and troubleshooting customer’s RMA.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including FAE, Test, Product, QA, DE and Marketing.
• Use servers and lab equipment to duplicate and troubleshoot issues and perform verification.
• Document test setups, results and findings in engineering reports.

2027 Summer Internship - May 24 - August 13

We are looking for aMemory Server System Testing Internin San Jose, CA. You must not have graduated before September 2027.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the system level testing, duplication, verification and troubleshooting customer’s RMA which includes DIMM modules, DDR, I2C/I3C Hub, Temperature Sensors or other integrated circuits.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including FAE, Test, Product, QA, DE andMarketing to understand, duplicate and troubleshoot customer’s reported issues.
• Utilize servers, client PC, lab equipment such as Oscilloscopes, protocol analyzerand other test instruments to duplicate, troubleshoot customer’s reported issuesand perform product functional verification and system performancebenchmarking.
• Document system test setup/environment, results, and findings in detailedengineering reports and contribute to improvement of FA turnaround time.
• Contributes to the development and enhancement of automated system testscripts to streamline the troubleshooting process and improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with various computer operating system i. e. Windows, Linux andmemory test applications software for system level memory testing and validation.
• Familiarity with lab equipment and measurement techniques for silicon validation,including oscilloscopes, Power Supply, and Data Timing Generator.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C/C++, or scriptinglanguages for test automation and data analysis.
• Hands-On Experience with Python test automation equipment such programmablepower supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and propose effective solutions.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborateeffectively with cross-functional teams.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies in the field ofsilicon validation.

Additional Information

The expected hourly pay range for this position is $31.25/hr - $41.50/hr. Please note that final offer amount will be dependent on geographic location, applicable experience, and skillset of the candidate.
