Job summary

Cascadia Senior Living is seeking a Memory Care caregiver (HCA/CNA) for a day shift in Silverdale, WA. You will assist residents with ADLs, provide companionship, and help maintain a safe, dignified living environment in a memory care setting.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, caregiving experience, required caregiver trainings, excellent communication, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and a valid First Aid/ CPR and Food Handlers card.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in caregiving, preferably in senior care.
• Completion of required caregiver training and certifications (if applicable).
• Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature with a special interest in working with the senior population
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift and assist with the mobility of residents as needed.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
• Current First Aid and CPR card
• Current Food Handlers card
• Pass a Criminal Background and fingerprint check
• Demonstrates basic computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn company applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting as needed.
• Meal preparation and serving nutritious meals and snacks.
• Mobility support with transfers and exercises.
• Engage residents with conversations, games, and activities for companionship.
• Light housekeeping: laundry, cleaning, and safe living environment.
• Monitor safety and respond to hazards or emergencies.
• Maintain open communication with residents, families, and team members.
• Accurately document care provided and changes in residents’ conditions.
• Respect residents’ dignity, independence, and autonomy.
• Participate in ongoing training and required meetings.
• Teamwork: collaborate with caregivers, nurses, and staff.
• Weekend availability required. PT AM 8 hours.
